Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems (LEV) Testing
The thorough examination and testing (TExT) of LEV systems must be carried out at least every 14 months or more frequently for specfic applications/processes.
Local exhaust ventilation is used in many industrial premises to protect the health of individuals working with hazardous materials/substances. Systems include fume extraction, dust extraction, welding fume extraction, etc.
It is a requirement of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Regulation 9, that systems are inspected and tested at regular intervals.

RS Technical Solutions Ltd will follow the guidelines contained within HSG 258 and will examine and test your system, and produce the necessary report for your records to ensure ongoing compliance.
The testing will determine the efficiency of the system to extract the necessary dust/fumes. Measuring instruments and smoke testing, along with the experience of the engineer, will identify any hidden failures or system shortfalls. Any design defects will also be identified and reported on.
Our engineer is BOHS P601 trained and qualified to carry out the required examination and testing. Airflows will be verified through measurement and visualisation techniques, and your report will be issued in both electronic and paper format.
RS Technical Solutions Ltd are totally independent from any manufacturer and will therefore issue an impartial and honest report.
